Sugar beet remains an important and profitable crop in growers’ rotations, with 95,000 ha of sugar beet being grown in the UK each year. However, growing sugar beet is not without it’s challenges. The changing climate brings with it a new raft of pests and diseases to contend with and can create difficult conditions for establishing and lifting the crop.

See how Revystar® XE performed in 2023

Join our agronomy managers Matt Keane and Hugo Pryce at our trial in Sutton Bridge. This video was filmed in October 2023 at a site with exceptionally high cercospora and highlights the strengths of Revystar XE in the field.

This comparison shows a Revystar XE treated crop vs an untreated crop on the left.

Diseases in the crop including rust and cercospora have caused defoliation of the lower leaves and considerably reduced the size of the canopy, resulting in lower yields.

On the left hand side is a programme of Angle followed by Caligula, with Revystar applied twice on the right hand side.

Again, disease in the crop on the left has reduced the canopy size and green leaf area, which will impact yield and frost protection going into the winter.
