Sugar Beet

Sugar beet remains an important and profitable crop in growers’ rotations, with 95,000 ha of sugar beet being grown in the UK each year. However, growing sugar beet is not without it’s challenges. The changing climate brings with it a new raft of pests and diseases to contend with and can create difficult conditions for establishing and lifting the crop.

This page shares resources and agronomic advice to help you overcome some of these challenges and grow high yielding sugar beet crops.
